The Exciting Gospel Warriors, based out of Tampa, Florida brings a fresh, new, and unique feel to today’s Gospel music. They were selected and appeared on Channel 13 News, Black History Segment, and received the “Talk of the Town 2019,” award for being the most exciting Gospel group in the Tampa Bay Area. The Exciting Gospel Warriors have also appeared and performed in many large venues throughout the State of Florida. In 2018, they performed at the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Black Heritage Festival; In 2016, they performed at the Strawberry Festival, which is a major event that is held, annually, in Hillsborough County, Florida and thousands of people visit. In 2015, they attended the James Cleveland Workshop of America, in Orlando, Florida, where they won 1st place for exceptional talent in categories such as vocals, harmony and live band. The Group also appeared at the Alzheimer’s National Convention in Orlando, Florida – an event where thousands of people gathered to witness the experience. This exciting Group was also voted GSA’s Gospel Quartet Group of the Year in 2001, 2004, 2005, and 2007. The Exciting Gospel Warriors are a humble group of men who, not only donate their talents, but also their time to the mission of advancing the Gospel. Every year, they serve the less fortunate at the Metropolitan Ministries Christmas Tent, where they focus on encouraging others who are going through rough times. What makes the Gospel Warriors uniquely special is their rich and soulful musical style, intricate but blended harmonies, and strong lyrical content. These dynamic attributes, coupled with many years of experience in the music industry have enabled them to capture the hearts of gospel fans everywhere quickly and forever. With a dedicated following across the East Coast, this group has been named by their audiences as the Exciting Gospel Warriors because of their exciting spirit-filled, live performances. They have traveled around the United States and have appeared on programs with some of the most legendary Gospel Giants in the industry, such as the award-winning Mighty Clouds of Joy, Shirley Caesar, The Jackson Southernaires, Lee Williams, The Spiritual QC’s, Keith Wonderboy Johnson, Bobby Jones, Doc McKinsey, Luther Barnes, Gospel Keynotes and a host of others. The Exciting Gospel Warriors’ collection of works and CD recordings include, but are not limited to, “Divine Nature”, which was released under Shurfine Records; “Standing in the Need of Prayer”; “He Did It” and “The Spirit of the Lord” – both released under DRE-B Recording Studio in 2020; and most recently they recorded “Say Amen” under DRE-B Recording Studio in 2021. Many of these songs have been blessed with normal rotation and are currently on playlist, locally and nationally, by radio stations at large.
